A year ago, Swedish student Greta Thunberg walked out of school in protest of government inaction on climate change. Her actions sparked an international movement, with tens of thousands of young people around the globe organizing strikes and calling on their representatives to respond to the climate crisis with the bold, urgent action it demands.
Now, the students are asking us to join them for global, all-ages climate strikes happening between September 20-27th to demand urgent action on climate change.
CSEB members may be interested in joining this global movement. Visit their website and locate a climate strike in your province and city.
There is also an open letter of support available for Canadian scientists to sign. Consider showing your support for this good cause.
