The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is inviting the public to comment on its proposals for new Regulations Designating Physical Activities, also known as the Project List, and new Information Requirements
and Time Management Regulations.

These regulations are part of the rules for major projects that the Government of Canada has proposed to protect the environment, grow the economy, and restore public trust in decisions about resource development and other types of industrial activities.

Bill C-69 and its proposed regulations have become a flashpoint for the Canadian conversation about economy versus environment. It has become a high-profile political issue as the fall federal election approaches. Canadian biologists can provide a valuable perspective to this conversation.
